Dae Howerton is an American fashion and beauty photographer. Known for his classic beauty style and moody story telling. Dae creates worlds within his images, and ever one in front of his camera becomes a character in it. 

Growing up in one fo the toughest housing projects in America, (Stella Wrights:Prince Street Projects) in Newark NJ, Dae often dreamed of becoming a great artist. Often escaping the hard reality of what was outside, he leaned on drawing, magazines, music and dance to dream. His mom, always supporting and pushing him to be beyond the projects, use to buy him magazines like Vogue, V Magazine, & W magazine to keep him occupied and safe. He later went to America’s first performing art schools called Arts High, where he studied Visual Art. During this time he discovered his 2 loves music production and photography. 2 ways to help tell all the stories in his mind.

The self-taught Grammy Nominated, Platinum selling music producer, has always pushed himself to explore new heights and experiences. Fashion was the next journey on the list. In 2012 he met his mentor and partner Dallas J Logan, who introduced him to photographers who would influence and change his life. Photographers like Steven Meisel, Mert & Marcus, Steven Klein, Herb Ritts, and Richard Avedon, all influenced his work. 

After 4 years of assisting Dallas, Dae and Dallas Merged and became a photography Duo. Together they’ve for Oribe, Inglot, Superdry: with Idris Elba, Vanity Fair Italia / France, and Target to name a few. Today he’s pushing to grace the covers of all this magazine and brands who inspired him growing up. Working to become a house hold name like his Grandfather photographers before him.
